About
To support a clean, safe, and welcoming Atlanta by reducing litter and debris in public rights-of-way. This reinforces civic pride, environmental stewardship, and Atlanta's reputation as a world-class city for residents, businesses, and visitors. Your role: Volunteers will assist with collecting litter and debris within public rights-of-way and designated focus areas.
Events with fewer than (4) registered participants may be canceled up to (2) days before.
Email kabc@atlantaga.gov for groups 10+. The World Cup Edition focuses on proactive litter removal along major corridors and neighborhoods anticipated to have increased visitation during the World Cup. Organized by City of Atlanta- Department Of Public Works. Tips: Hours for service: 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The primary task volunteers will assist with is litter management, the collection of litter and debris within the city right -of -ways. Please note that the average length of each OCS cleanup site is estimated to be 1 mile in length with maintenance performed on both sides of the assigned road.
Volunteers are asked to dress appropriately and comfortably in short or long sleeve shirts, pants, closed-toe shoes/boots, and face masks. Additional materials and equipment such as safety vests, latex gloves, litter grabbers, and trash bags will be provided at the site locations.
