Support Legacy Decatur’s mission to make the community greener, more attainable, and more connected. At Truckin’ Tuesdays, volunteers foster creativity and connection by engaging families and kids at the Art Station. Your role: Volunteers set up and manage the Art Station at Truckin’ Tuesdays, assist kids with coloring sheets and crayons, encourage sharing, engage families, and help pack up at the end of the event. Join us at Truckin’ Tuesdays to help run the Art Station, a fun and creative space for kids! Volunteers will set up, oversee, and clean up the coloring station. Organized by Legacy Park. Tips: Make sure to complete the volunteer waiver.
When you arrive, enter through the main entrance with the roundabout and park to the right of the building (parking is also available near surrounding buildings). Head toward the large green lawn in front of the Sheddon building (our South Lawn), where tents and food trucks will be setting up.
Check in by calling Dymond, Legacy Decatur Programs Manager, 470-799-7907. Look for the area on the South Lawn with tents and tables set up. Your role is simple: engage with park patrons, enjoy the art station with the kids, stay at the station, encourage kids to draw and color, share materials, and keep a positive, welcoming attitude throughout the event.
