Participants will help reduce food insecurity, ensure families in need receive essential items, and foster a sense of community. Involvement promotes empathy, and supports the overall well-being and resilience of underserved populations. Your role: Volunteers arrive at the site and check in with the event coordinator
Ensure all trash is collected and disposed of properly
Begin light cleanup of the site to maintain a safe and organized environment. Volunteers at the food pantry will sort and pack food, manage inventory, assist with distribution, and engage with the community during pantry hours. Organized by Power Atlanta Inc. Volunteers Completing Community Service:
In order to complete the required paperwork for your community service, please email your documents to Gee McCain- GMcCain@poweratl.org prior to your scheduled volunteer date:
Proof of community service requirement
Court or probation documentation (if applicable)
A list of charges or offenses related to your community service
Volunteer Dress Code Requirements:
Please wear a black sweatshirt or t-shirt. and sturdy, slip-resistant boots or shoes with a steel toe for safety. Flip-flops and slides are not permitted. Volunteers who do not comply with the dress code will not be allowed to participate.
