About
Volunteers will work to make a local natural area more hospitable for native plants and wildlife. A primary goal will be to remove non-native, invasive plants, which helps protect the local ecosystem and promotes the growth of beneficial plants. Your role: Volunteers remove invasive plants, care for trees, and more. The location in Smyrna will be sent prior to event.
*You must be 12+ to participate. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
*This opportunity cannot fulfill court-ordered hours Volunteers will care for native trees, remove trash, and remove non-native, invasive plants on a plot of city-owned land near a streambed. Organized by Keep Smyrna Beautiful. Tips: Keep Smyrna Beautiful will email you before the event with additional instructions, including the exact location and parking information. We currently have multiple Habitat Rehabilitation sites in the City of Smyrna.
PLEASE NOTE:
-The minimum age for participation in this event is 12. Minors under the age of 16 must volunteer alongside an adult. All minors require a parent or guardian to sign their waiver.
