We've turned an old gravel parking lot into a productive community garden. It's behind a chain link fence directly across from the new Greyhound station. Your role: Volunteers help with weeding, planting, watering, harvesting and doing site beautification projects. IMPORTANT - Read email INSTRUCTIONS sent to you after sign up - and REVIEW/LOOK at all the photos on this listing before coming! ESPECIALLY THE MAP!! Head downtown to help one of Atlanta's most unique community gardens - the Five Points Farm - we're a 501(c)3 and a member of the AgLanta Grows-A-Lot program. Organized by Five Points Farm. Tips: Please review the 4 images under our listing. The 2nd image is a map showing you exactly where the garden is and where to park (for free on Sundays and holidays such as MLK day). The 3rd image shows the front of the garden, the walk in entrance is on the side of the big gate. The 4th image is the warehouse just south of the garden for those coming in a half hour early (9:30am) WEATHER - if heavy rain or extreme cold is in the forecast, an email will be sent that morning IF cancelled. Please check your email before coming. PARKING - MARTA is the easiest way to get here - take it to the Garnett Station - if you drive - SUNDAY/HOLIDAYS has FREE 'ON STREET' parking on Garnett St. SW - do not park in the surface parking lot. Garnett St. is just north of our new space (look at the map on our listing). Ignore anyone coming up to you saying you have to pay! CHECKING IN: Find Jim to check in on phone (and to check out). EVERYONE needs to check in for liability reasons (and we can add your or your guest if you don't show up in the listing).
