ELECTION PROTECTION BOOT CAMP - Preparing for the special session & organizing to oppose gerrymandering in Georgia Election Protectors United of Georgia is a coalition of Volunteers from a variety of organizations empowering neighbors to participate in and to help protect free, fair, democratic elections. In our first installment of this community event series several organizations came out and had a great discussion on a variety of election protection and voting rights topics. In this next installment in this series of community events, guest speakers and organizations will focus mainly on the upcoming Georgia Legislative Special Session. Governor Brian Kemp recently called for a special session of the Georgia Legislature to redistrict Georgia following the SCOTUS decision to gut the Voting Rights Act and to address the “QR Code” issue created by SB 189. On June 13th, we are coming together with local organizations to plan and talk about what we can do to fight for free and fair elections, for fair maps and to learn about ways to SAY NO to gerrymandering in Georgia.
